a decade short of a victory.

iTunes is spinning: third eye blind -"i want you"

soooooo. last night was a usual girls night out that we haven't had in a while. and random it was. as usual i guess. we started off the night with dinner and 3.50 martinis on wednesday on the rooftop patio of hey lucy's. "mixed and mingled" with the table next to us. it was wierd. got an invite to their party this saturday. i forget the address already, but it was in their loft pad. which would be fun to check out nonetheless. after we consumed a reasonable amount of martinis each, the popular choices for the nighit was chocolate and lychee marts. we headed down to menage a few doors away to reminisce the charlie's angels regular digs a la two years ago. funny thing was, the 'usual' bartender we had was still there. dave is his name. and when we asked if he remembered us, he did. who knows if he really did. but the angels were hot, so i don't doubt that he really did. hah. chatted up the evening with a bunch of suits. and we were off to rol sans afterwards for some late night greasy eats. mmmm. suffice enough to say that after my night o fun out, i woke up this morning with a nasty hang. haven't experienced one of those in a while. sick.

the night return home included finding one of the roomies bleeding. and the bathtub wouldn't stop running water. so still as i speak the water is profusely still spewing it's angry wrath and raining down onto the bathtub. sounds like someone is constantly peeing in the bathroom. delightful.

it's six one six pm: and the life aquatic is a great movie. i love the art direction, the blue/red/yellow colour scheme. and i want me a pair of those nifty zissou adidas sneaks!

it's truly been a thrill...thank you.

iTunes is spinning: The Most Serene Republic -"You're a Loose Cannon McArthur... but You Get the Job Done"

it's been a slow morning. mostly on my lazy part. the weather looks like it's finally clearing up as i can see the not trying to hard sunbeams sneaking into my room from behind my sheer white curtains. and all i can hear for the most part today was this vibrating noise that was driving me insane. until i finally checked my own coatpocket in fustration to check if it was mine. nope. after many more attempts to figure out said vibrating sound i came up with these conclusions:
1. someone left their phone on vibrate somewhere in my catastrophic room.
2. someone left their vibrator somewhere in my catastrophic room. perhaps my roomates have been renting out my room on the nights i'm not present to claim it for myself?
3. the neighbours are playing some incessant music with a lot of bass, so that all i can hear is mumblings of rattlings through the wall that translate into vibrates for me?

however so. this weekend was enjoyable. i didn't jump off the deep end in crazy fits of shits and giggles. but i did venture out to the queenshead (queen and bathurst) for a "rapparty". among those residing as dj's for the night was jesse from the two man group death from above 1979. everyone's set was pretty solid. mostly playing some really unknown stuff (at least to my ears) so it was definitely a nice change from the top 40/mainstream hiphop stuff about gangstas and hoes you hear daily. and i'm not going to lie...jesse's kind of hot. in that scruffy, rockstar kind of way. of course. there's none other. let me break out the blackhoodie and jean jacket ensemble to match.

it's one three zero pm: and i'm back to reading memoirs of a geisha.

an unofficial goodbye.

iTunes is spinning: bif naked -"lucky"

so yesterday, i officially said good bye to the summer season, as fall announced it's way in with the solstice changing. i'm not ready to let go of summer yet, fall will have to pry it from my deathgrip hands. however, thanksgiving is in two weeks kids and i am looking forward to my once-a-year-stupidly-fantasticly-home cooked meal which i mooch off of people. there's no way i'm sitting at home along on thanksgiving eve just because my family lives a billion miles away. no way. instead i'll be tagging along with to fill my belly up with visions of turkey, mashed potatoes and pumpkin pie. mmmm. there's always pumpkin pie.

it's four three five pm: and twiddling my thumbs is fun.

last chance for catching starshines and moonbeams.

iTunes is spinning: james blunt -"you're beautiful"

soooo. this weekend i got to know the living room couch more than a little better. considering that my bum (and bradley's) was glued to it pretty much for over twenty hours all together. along with here and there snuggles from the sweeties. all because i bought the first season of LOST on dvd. we rented the first disc one friday. i was HOOKED. instantly, brad and i went back the next night to rent disc two, of course there was none left, and after careful consideration and puppy dog eyes, brad agreed to me buying the first season. it was definitely a good investment. i've been wanting to watch it for a while, but i didn't want to watch it while it was on tv last year in the middle. i love the ingenuinity of having dramas all at your fingertips, i get to marathon style it. LOVES IT!

however, in the midst of mastering the art of being a bum, i managed to make it to the annual clothing show at the cne. for a shopping pro like me, even i was officially overwhelmed. it wasn't _as_ big as i thought it'll be, but it was big enough. i left with a few goodies and we were on our way home to nurse my sick bradley.

it's eight five two pm: and hopefully i'll be employed soon, as these overly indulgent daily shopping trips is really taking a wack at the non-existent to begin with wad of cash money.

a little underwhelmed.

iTunes is spinning: the starting line -"ready"

first day back at school. it was highly enjoyable. considering the six hour long studio class, ended up letting out after an hour was a bonus. so to kill time in the am, i went shopping. . .i really do think i have a problem. if anyone knows the number for shopaholic anoynomous, hit me. waking up at 7am has been such a different trip than the last two weeks has been. there is no more lounging around. this said, i spent the rest of my day lounging around in bed chatting on msn and web surfing. and of course, i was perfectly content. there's always tomorrow for the resume rewrite and job search. oh yeah, if anyone knows of any job openings, hit me. or you can just tell me nicely as well.

yesterday i walked into donatos seeing if they had an open appointment for a haircut. they did. and here are the results:

ps. i got heavy heavy bangs cut and for anyone who's interested, donatos now has some student priviledge card discount thing going on. from mon-thurs students can get a 15% off discount of services. you just ask them for the card and show your id. badabingbadaboom. you can look as i do. more "asian" but, sometimes i feel a little bit like a frumpy puppy. not unlike this one though:

CHHHEEEESSSEE!

now here's the concert update:
1. 10/02- fall out boy w/boys night out, motion city soundtrack and the starting line.
2. 10/15-death cab for cutie.
3. 10/29-saves the day w/senses fail, the early november and say anything.

i will be attending one, and hopefully three. two is sold out but here's fingers crossed to scalpers galore to hook me up.

alas the summer is winding down, going back to school makes me feel old knowing that i'm one of the oldest prolly entering my victory lap, but at the same time young that i'm still in school. stay alive kids.

the pictures from italia still sit on my desktop begging to be released to the public to be enjoyed like they should be. but i somehow haven't mustered up the courage to re-resort the 300 or so pictures that i already resorted out from the 1000+ pictures i have to slim it down to about 50 or so for a precise travel photo diary. a project for another day. in the meantime i've been on the lookout for the perfect picture album in which to store my visuals from five months abroad.

it's five one three pm: and i sit pretty waiting for bradsley.

denial of another summer's life end.

iTunes is spinning: taking back sunday -"you're so last summer"

soooo it's been a while. and i am officially back in toronto and back on my feet savouring the last bits of my fading summerdays. italia was awesome. pictures to be announced when i get them in due order. i have sooo many that the thought of putting them in somewhat of an order. or flipping though them gives me a headache. perhaps next week.

however, the handful of days i've been back i've had a nice catch up with the girlies and some quality time spent with the boy. and as much shopping as i've done throughout italia...i've managed to go shopping everyday since i've been back. except for today. i'm put under house arrest.

but i did have a somewhat-long-time-wish fullfilled last night. i finally got to go to the ex just like everybody else. it was so fun! i'm such a sucker for carnies and flourescent lights. it fits in with the whole artificial colourful idea. i watched the texas trick riders, sat through some dude trying to explain fishing jigs and lures to me, oogled at some cows, pigs, sheeps and ostriches galore, saw the aerobatics/figure skating show, was absolutely helpless in trying to pick something for dinner in the food pavillion, wandered around the midway forever bemused and entranced by all the giant stuffies luring your toonies and loonies away to cheap tricks, but bradsley did win me a carebear so i'm okay with it, it almost made up for missing the petting zoo. and of course capped off the night with a break an arm and a leg in price ferris wheel ride and afterwards snuggled down on the lawn to watch the musical fireworks. i haven't seen fireworks in so long that i felt as giddy as a schoolgirl about to enter kindgarten. and at the end of the night i headed home with the carnie lights twinkling behind me, my purple carebear in one arm and my boy on the other. the half eaten bag of cotton candy remains in the garbage can.

snapshots of my funfilled return to toronto.

it's twelve twelve pm: and it's good to be home canada.
