gentle little spring.

iTunes is spinning: natasha bedingfield -"i bruise easily"

so, what was suppose to be a fun saturday night out with the girls on a token saturday day off from work has fallen flat due to an impromptu case of a burnt tongue which leaves me in pain, speechless (literally as it hurts to talk) and hungry. the only thing i ate today was this cute little carton of strawberry icecream.

good thing they came in small packages at the local convenience store otherwise i would've been scarfing down a full sized carton....

top three wants
1. Primark, a low-end retail shop in the uk. i just had a glimpse of some of their pieces in the debut issue of online magaziner, Amour.
2. Wish i worked at free people at their office in philly, check out FP's blog.
3. Hopefully the weather warms up soon enough that skirts and dresses sans tights or leggings can come out and play so then i can showcase my new moccasin boot purchase fully approved by the boy over uggs. that and i couldn't bring myself to spend double the amount on a pair of uggs here when i know for a fact they don't cost that much in our neighboring contry.

it's eight four four pm: and the gent below me holds band practices in his bachelor sized apartment.

building up.

so, it's been two weeks since i started at artizia, and even though i feel old (where as i normally feel pretty young around my old man) most of the girls i work with are still in school (both college AND highschool) so as you can imagine there are some young'uns. though most people at work think i'm twenty ^_^ it's tiring being on your feet and shuffling around constantly running and walking for eight hours straight. but i must say i genuinely enjoy picking out the perfect item for someone. it's some sort of a reward when they walk out satisfied...even if it means trying on fifteen pairs of jeans before they find the one that fits great. and at three hundred bucks a pop i always urge them to try more on until they feel fabolous and comfortable at the same time. incentives at work include being able to buy a pricey pair of designer denims for 50% off. i've got my eye on a couple, and today i sold the one pair of rocks with crystals on the bum in my size to a girl who really really really really wanted them, even though they didn't even fit her quite right. kudos to that kind of "i want i need" that leads you to spend three hundred dollars on an ill fitting pair of jeans.

in other news, after working for seven days straight, the boy and i finally have our weekend off together, and even though he doesn't want to walk around "cute streets with shops" or "flea marketing" i'll settle for reading books (for him), magazines (for me) and crosswording together at a pub, while we do our laundry two doors away.

what i did last birthday:

it's eleven two seven pm: amd after a tease of nice weather (to be expected from ficklesome toronto) the chill has come back to town. but i still secretly hope it'll be springish weather for the weekend.

so, anya hindmarch has come up with a cute concept

the "i'm not a plastic bag" bag. it's adorable, it's witty, it's cheap for a coveted trend piece, just £5.00. now if that were true, ebay has them selling for over 150 dollars. it's kind of an irony, in terms of the message this bag is trying to achieve, but yet again society and consumerism has prevailed once again. but i'm not one to judge, i'm a victim of consumerism. still it's cute, if anyone is in the land of pounds, i'd love to receive one.

in other news, it took me thirty minutes each way, for a total of one hour to travel from the bathurst subway station to sherbourne...what should have been a direct route with no train changing turned out to be a nightmare with the underground construction they are doing to the bay station, which resulted in all the trains heading north-east-south-west to be rerouted to museum for interchanges....when normally would require no interchanges as all (the east-west line). the perk was that because the train couldn't travel into the under construction bay tunnel, we got to see the old bay station, which was last in use in 1966 and is not used for training purposes and movie sets. it was eerie to see a station so empty and defaced, it was the ttc tour which lasted for a couple of seconds. but on the 'up' side, this derailment to your daily ttc routes only happens on the weekends so the bay street go-ers won't have to change their work schedule, and the tourists get to put up with the confusion on the weekend.

oh, and i got bum grazed by some dirty man twice while waiting at the interchange for another east bound train when i was already going eat....first time i thought it was a mistake, second time i almost socked him, if it weren't for the billions of spectators hoarding around. so instead i chose to stand in front of a very large looming man, so if bum grazing man had the balls to bum graze again he'd have to goodie graze this very large looming man's package as well. i dont' give him so much huztpah.

tomorrow i officially start my first day of work. don't ask me how it goes, i already know how it'll go.

it's eight o six pm: and was it ever windy outside today.

let's not give them something to talk about

iTunes is spinning: mika -"stuck in the middle"

so does anyone else see the, or heh not see the rest of the world because of the frightful weather outside. well i reluctantly tromped outside to buy a bag of the itties old kind of litter from the cute pet store down the street (helmutts 865 queen st w.) to incorporate into their new clumpable flushable kitty litter, which i found out last night that oni cakes does not take to. all day long she gives a little melp whenever she goes near the new litter and has yet to pee (or poop) but after the mixing remedy, she is a happy (and relieved) itty.

in other news, tomorrow i sign my papers with aritzia to embark on a new workventure. the hardest part is not to spend everything i buy on the store i work in...ohuu. that's going to be a tough one. this is a "next level" step in the relationship between aritzia and i, that began out on the west coasts of vangroover when aritzia wasn't even top ten on what is now top 5 of every teenager and young adult's shop list. every summer i eagerly awaited the annual warehouse sale out by tinsletown, recruiting the meems and the sis along for extra hands and eyes (and money!)...and now i will join the ranks of their sales team, hopefully (in not too long of a due time) i will become a manager.

why i love us: conversation from last night:
(in the car near home trying to find a permit parking spot at 8:30 one of the worst times because everyone has arrived home already and thus taken up all the good spots)

r: dammit no vip spots, maybe we should go drive and get anoter tub of sherbet again like last night so a spot can free up in the meantime

j: but we still have our tubs of sherbet (for him) and ice cream (for me) in the fridge, let's get some beers instead!

r: we don't have money to spend on beers!

j: yeah but we can use grocery money on beers we'll even get the cheap kind! ice cream and beer for dinner?

r: deal.

i've become a crazy cat lady, i think there are more itty bitty pictures on my facebook than there are human ones.

it's two five size pm: and it's rollllll up the rim time at tims!!! and yesterday i won a free coffee, i don't think i've won a free coffee for two years....or a car for that matter...
