iTunes is spinning: bob seger -"night moves"so this week was the (presumably) season finale as well as the season's end all of the o.c. the huge following of season one and two, slowly died off around season three when we finally decided that marissa cooper was deathly annoying. however, when they killed her off...season four was just a disaster. but nonetheless, being a fan, and secretly in love with seth cohen, i forged on and grimaced my way through season four. the season finale of season four was a tearjerker though, not because it was exceptionally good, but they wrapped up loose ends, foretold what eventually happened with the cohens and the coopers and the extra ones entangled in their web....it was a tearjerker because through all the flashback scenes of when it all first started, it reminded me of why i enjoyed it in the first place. teen drama located on a californian beachtown. how could anyone not love the tans and hot clothes.
love is...when your boy lets you pick your own valentines day card but he still writes a cute love note inside.
oh, and threw in a samwich maker and toaster oven as a gift just for fundamental kicks he knows the way to my heart. i no longer will have to use the real oven to toast my starchy yums. that is until i find a place to set the toaster oven up....
in other great random news, i attended my first toronto auto show. i was underwhemled, although i did have fun bouncing on cars we could never afford. fyi: i licked the 'concept' jeep gladiator pick up, it's mine!
a boy and his bike, a girl and her scooter (note the scooter-esque pose..just need a pink helmet to match vroom vroom).
however, the best part of the auto show was fondling the different interior finishes (the textures!) at the lexus booth )really how many different silvers can lexus come out with?) and the big hides at the bmw centre.
if only everything could come in
cashmere perforated leatherother highlights included a robin's blue hummer, pastel yellow pt cruiser, split pea jeep wrangler....

1. Five minutes to yourself: how would you spend them, ideally?
- ideally? i would want to spend them nuggling with the boy. however, if i had to be by myself it would be to indulge in some
perezhilton sinfully delightful gossip.
2. Five bucks to spend right now; how would you spend it?
- on a girly magazine, perhaps a little teenvogue...yes i'm not a teen anymore, but it's a guilty pleasure.
3. Five items in your house you could part with, right now, that you hadn’t thought of already?
- the big obtrusive silver ladder that i technically need to keep to get up onto the loft bed....however, i feel as though the supremacies are on the verge of introducing the now possible ability of defying gravity - flying.
- a book called cradle to cradle made of this wierd polywhatevermumblejumble material that is suppose to be indestructable, unless of course you cut it up with scissors, but you can read this book in the bathtub and not worry about wrinkling the pages (aside: i'm a dog earer of pages, so that's the only downfall of this book). essentially, the book is about how certain materials are destroying the environment or how some recycleables really aren't all the recycle-worthy and of course the never ending debate of how we can save the world. so, one day, i will leave this book on some starbucks table for someone to pick up read, and pass along.
- this black pleather, but looks like real leather motorcycle style but more sleek jacket that i've had since mmm grade 11. but for some reason i'm still holding on to it.
- our christmas fern, as christmas is over, but it's the only green thing in our house and i feel it's osmosing clean air for us.
- the full but empty of beer six packs lying around, anyone want sixty cents?
4. Five items you absolutely, positively could never part with in your house?
- photos of loved ones
- my black michael kors with chrome stilletos-stilletos, even though they medieval-ly hurt my feet and i'll never wear them.
- my mac
- the itty bitties
- shu uemera eyelash curler
5. Five words you love?
- pamplemousse
- vintage
- (anything) chanel
- sumptuous
- impetuous...anything with the "uous" ending is always lovely.
for sake of putting anyone under pressure to have to tag them to complete this, at your own will and pleasure if you'd like some five thinking for your soul then well. you know what to do.
it's eleven three three pm: and finally the crack of reality has struck me smack dab silly.

iTunes is spinning: rachel yamagata -"find a way"so, here's an interesting something...nots sure what to call it. But Cool Hunting blogged about this thing called
marmite today, and it's collaboration with
guinness. Here's what Cool Hunting had to say about it:
"You'll probably know about Guinness, but for those of you who aren't familiar with Marmite, it's a nutritious, vegan-friendly, British foodstuff originally made from the yeast left over by the beer-brewing process. Usually, it's spread thinly on toast, and for those who like it, it has a salty, almost meaty flavor. For those who don't, the flavor is more akin to that of earwax.
In time for St. Patrick's Day, Guinness yeast extract will be used to make a special spread, limited to 300,000 jars. It's available today 19 February 2007 for around £2.49 from supermarkets in the UK."
hmmm. i deem it a bit weary, and must say i'm not entirely too keen on trying it, even if it tastes like beef jerky, because as it's original name suggests, it's suppose to be jerky, not spready. that and it's alcohol free.
in other chinese new years news, as of sunday, it's officially the new year in the lunar calender, which also marks this year as the year of the pig. now being born in 1983, that would mean me. but this isn't just any ol' animal year, this pig year also happens to be a golden pig year. this occurance happens every 600 years. ohuuu. once in 6 lifetimes chance to experience this golden affair. The golden pig is suppose to mark a particularly auspicious year...let's hope this rings true.
it's nine three five pm: i think i'm going to go buy my very first scratch ticket ever to celebrate this "auspicious" year....or maybe just a dr. pepper.

iTunes is spinning: fergie f. ludacris -"glamorous."so, today, i was on a mission to find some earmuffs and a black normal boy scarf for the boy. after scouring the eaton centre, including trust departments stores a la the bay and sears, i came up empty handed. not only did i not see any ear muffs, there seemed to be a lacking in the black scarf for boys category. disspointed, i headed out into the streets to head home, and brazing the bitting wind, i purused the shops on queen st...nada. i mean i know in fashion standards, winter is technically over and that spring stock is invading store shelves now, but it's still winter in toronto and i still expect to find ear muffs and a black scarf when i want 'em in the dead of winter. well, in the end i found a black normal boy scarf for the boy and white ear muffs for moi in this little asian shop on the way home. yay go asians! i might go back and buy the cute toronto maple leaf ear muffs too, for when i go trekking out in the cold on the way to a pub to watch them lose... i mean win! go leafs go!
it's one fifty pm: and despite every other rock/emo/punk/alternative bone in my body, i've been chilling to some really girly music lately.

iTunes is spinning: atomic kitten -"whole again"so pretty much the only times i wished i lived in the states is when i have a craving to go shopping at forever 21, victoria secret, barneys, nordstrom, century 21...you get the idea.
now once again, i wished i lived in the states for yesterday's debut of the proenza schouler GO international line for Target ("tar-jay"). *sigh. albeit, all i can do right now anyways is lustfully lust after items with online window browsing.
it's three o six pm: and i'm patiently awaiting the home arrival of the boy, so he can take me out for a sushi dinner and the movies. either of which i haven't experienced in a long time, a movie away from the comfort of our itty bittied up futon...i hope he remembers.
