hum a life.
iTunes is spinning: fall out boy -"hum hallejuah."so, not much new stuff to report about. i had an interview with artizia yesterday, all is well, turns out i shot too high in terms of the position i originally applied for, so as a result, i guess they must've liked me and my amazing style *ahem they suggested another position with, of course the potentialbilities of moving up the fashion rank. so sometime in the next week or so i will have another interview with aritzia when the retail manager gets in town. .. let's hope they're not blowing steam in my face.
in other itty bitty news, they're growing up fast, they barely fit into bowls of mashed potatoes (example posted below) otherwise i've become attached to them quite horribly...
snow has finally blanketed the city of toronto, now when i look out my one window the rooftops are white and glistening. weather has dropped significantly in the last week and i must say, i was not one of those winter fanatics complaining about the blissfully warm and mild winter weather we were having (and secretly albeit maybe ignorantly hoping it wasn't global warming's calm before the storm wrath gracing upon us...). you know it's cold when the boy turns up the heat in the house.
it's nine five three am: and i'm glad i didn't spend money to see employee of the month, dane cook is not at his best. however, accepted was mildly acceptable...considering i had pretty lo-expectations going in, it entertained considerably notches higher than cook's catastrophe, and jessica simpson didn't even look that hot in it, her hair! that girl needed her roots touched up and some volume intact...
when the world moves on without you.
iTunes is spinning: kp and envi -"shorty swing my way."so it's been a rough 2007 thus far. the job search is still going, i feel as though i'm close to finding jobs that intrigue me as far as the industry it's affiliated with goes. but this could just be lala me talking. i do have a plan b. but as russ says, plan a hasn't even begun to be exhausted yet. yet i say, yet.
i've been put on a strict no purchases budget until further notice, or more likely, until i actually having a flowing incoming income again. soon i hope soon. the retail soul in me is wiltering. so, to at least keep it alive until then, i've resorted to online window shopping as a safe means, considering i won't be tempted with charging it to a plastic that, well i don't own. here i've come across two purchases that tickle my fancies.
one. pegasus wing earring in black/tatty devine/ 25 pounds.
two. fish bowl bookends/wrapables/29.95 US
i could see samurai jack and his non-existant-co-existant partner swimminglyhappy.
so, in the meantime i've been loving my daytimes with the itty bitties. they're growing up super fast on me, i wish they could stay little forever. although they're related, i like how Oni is fluffier, and Shogun is a little more special and dopey, but together they've got the same pair of eyes and look of mischief...especially at 4am in the mornings, when they want up in the loft bed but haven't found a way to sneak themselves up there yet, so instead they melp and quack incessantly until i break and beckon to their wishes. russ says i spoil them. i call it love.
it's nine one three pm: and my left brain is still in touch with my right and vice versa.
another leg of this existence
iTunes is spinning: beyonce -"irreplacable"so, it's been a while, the holidays came and left in a whirlwind, but for a holidays away from home and family, i must say it was still a very good one spending it with surrogate families courtesy of the boy's famalia. christmas was mostly spent in hamilton, yes i said hamilton, i've grown rather fond of hamilton, or mayhaps just the people in it not so much the city...it's still rather lacking in cityness for this citygirl. but alas. this was a christmas of firsts. i got my very first christmas stocking. well actually i ended up getting four christmas stockings! but that only made it better. the best christmas ever. this was also the first time i ate turkey for a meal every single day of last week. don't get me wrong. i love turkey, but too much turkey makes me dopey. presents were exchanged and successfully loved by all the receivers. russ got my a lovely pair of brown booties! i knew that all that whining and not subtle hint dropping about me wanting boots would pay off. ha ha. and now with my new twenty dollar pair of skinny jeans i'm ready to rock the town stomping about and making a ruckus. the kitties came along with us to hamilton for the festivities (we had to leave the fish at home, no worries he survived a few days with no food) but surprisingly the kittins were well adjusted to change and a new environment. but secretly i think they enjoyed having a bigger house to roam around in instead of our little bachelorette above a furniture store. . . they dealt with the car ride without any real scratches, Oni mostly dozed on my lap while shogun wanted to explore and was finally defeated by the fact that he wasn't allowed anywhere more than a foot away from my lap. they got along with the dogs (kevin and elizabeth) shogun making fast best friends with kevin and in turn tuckered himself out from a day of chasing each other around. it was all good. lots of beer and lots of food lots of time spent with russ makes me a happy girl.
for all those who seem to think i've dropped off the face of the earth...i finally got my new phone so i'm now once again reachable by mankind alike. if you know the number i'll accept your call.
it's eleven fourteen am: and this is day 5 of finding a job. the postings depress the hell out of me.
