i can't bring myself to waste another minute in this world we've created for ourselves.

iTunes is spinning: des'ree - "kissing you"

soooo. i hope everyone had a good chrissymassy and that everyone is well on their way submersed with some sort of a plan to bring in the new years. for now at least. as for me, we'll see. options are filling up the streets with the rest of the hongkong population, that or someone opens up a house for everyone to party in i guess. honestly, the old fogey in me just wants to stay at home cuddled up in warm jammies and snuggling up next to my mee mee and yawningly if i make it to midnight make my one resolution that i can never seem to keep. other more enticing options of finding a handsome prince beneath a sprig of mistletoe at the stroke of midnight is not an option and will only remain a fantasy.

last week's trip to hainan island, china, wasn't as tropical as we hoped. as we went during the few coldest days of the year. yippee. so my dreams of suntanning away was doused as i trudged along in long pants and sleeves. bourns. however, as usual, i managed to come out with a few good pictures.

i present, the jenny dork gallery:

look more carefully, i'm trying in vain to catch the coconut from the tree.

the "artsy" picture of the trip:

the lovely LO ladies:

and for those playing along at home who want to see more of my not so sundrenched vacation they only have to visit here!!!!

in the meantime. i am most scrumptiously enjoying my all fun all play holidays at home. i try not to think about the few tomorrows left i have here as that would mean that when january fourth rolls by i'll be back at home in toronto and that would mean that i would once again be in bitterly winter snowy cold weather, that i would have to start looking for a new place to move into and that i would once again have to go back to school.

it's nine three nine pm hk time: and if i had a million dollars i'd splurge on a week's stay in a five star classy hotel complete with room service and a heart shaped hot tub.

saving myself from myself.

iTunes is spinning: aaliyah - "i miss you"

so here's a bitty picture update.

1.

the little and baby cousin picking me up at the airport, don't worry the meems was there as well to hold their dear small hands. funny how i'm the only one paying attention to the camera though.

2.

this is for the first 65 crawford kegger that i will not be gracing my presence with. and since there is no way that i am lugging these mini heiney kegs all the way back with me to the great north america, i decided to take a picture to remember them by. (taken at the city super in new town plaza).

3.

my dear butbut, freshly showered and not looking so happy. we're bundled up under her winnie the pooh blankie. what a sweetie.

it's eleven three ohhhhh pm (hk time): and my heart is super restless as we face another uncertain night worrying over the sick and weak family dog. she only has to make it through one more night before the sister comes home from australia.

you're an old habit that i am trying to break.

iTunes is spinning: bright eyes - "the perfect sonnet."

sooooo. i'm finally home. well haha i've been home for a few days now. after a horrendous trip which included leaving toronto three hours late because of the snow friday morning. which meant that we were leaving dallas as a result, which made us an hour late arriving in osaka, which meant that i missed my connecting flight to hong kong from there. so they flew us from osaka to tokyo to stay a night in a hotel and in the morning we had to take a bus from tokyo haneda to the narita airport. one hour later, we finally got to check in and there were no more hassles or glitches and delays. aside from a really worried mee mee because i didn't show up at the airport on my previous flight which she thought iw as still on and still arrived on time. opps.

well that was sunday. and now it is thursday. i am on hongkong time, which means we're thirteen hours ahead of toronto for those who are wondering. and i'm half over my jetlag, half not. heh. haevn't done much thus far. as usual. out of pure laziness. but there's sad news this december for the lo family. the precious and much loved butbut isn't faring so fat lately. that's the family dog for those who don't know the lingo. her kidney isn't working so well lately and she's refusing to eat or drink or anything. there will be no chrissymas pressies this year, all the love and attention goes to the dog. as well as really pricey vet fees. but we must do what we can for butbut.

next week i am going on a short vacation to a tropical island in china..... yes. china.... i'm not impressed. i may have to pee in a hole in the ground which we all know that i'm hardly capable of.

it's seven four seven pm to. time: and well. all i want this christmas if for my butbut to get better.

there's another five days left in me before i crash.

iTunes is spinning: reggie and the full effect -"love reality"

sooooo this weekend consisted of doing errands and on sunday i was shooting some documentation for my "adopt a fruit fly" print project blitz on queen st west. it was super cold, and after a while i just lost all feeling in my hand until we made the right decision to duck in for the usual coffee + a shot of white mocha for me and a caramel coretto for him. they had my favourite lite blend of coffee brewed today, butter pecan. otherwise i always go for the irish cream. and it's usually only here where i drink coffee. where i can get special flavour blends and flavour shots to douse the otherwise bitter taste of coffee.

i haven't been on the 401hwy since the summer, and saturday morning i found myself on the 401 again to head into scarbytown to pick up my plane ticket. where i found that i was just an electronic plane ticket that i picked up. i questioned to myself of why i had to drive (even though it really didn't take that long) to get here to pick up my electronic ticket when i could've printed it out myself. hmmmmmmm. speaking of printers. i hate printers. or just my own, they never seem to work out for me.

why i hate the wintertime:
-wal mart is an absolute pain in the ass to go to on most days, but during christmas it's even worse.
-old people can't drive. even if there wasn't any snow on the floor to hinder them, they still managed to not see me driving my car and decided to pull out infront of me causing an almost accident that was only saved by god himself and some miraculous reflexes i managed to save from when i last used them all to prevent a broken nose on course by a ball fast flying towards my face and unspeakable speeds. old people should be banned from driving. or get some new eyes.
-the bitter cold makes for an unhappy jenny. there is some niceness to being able to pull on a sweater because you're a little chilly, but when you've already got a sweater on, complete with booties, mitties the whole ensemble but somehow you still y manage to feel cold...then well. that's when i hate the wintertimes.

in exactly four days i will be taking off for hong kong to escape from this snowy misery for a few weeks. but until friday morning, there's lots to be done, lots to be seen.

it's three three nine pm: oh and the not so most exciting and not the cheapest part of my recent weekend is getting my car out of impound. 220 dollars poorer, the lorider is back in my posession.
