reaching back to my roots.

iTunes is spinning: Utada Hikaru - "Devil ON The Inside"

well, as... mm well perhaps most would be unfamiliar with the japanese sensation by the name of Utada Hikaru but she's been around on the asian pop scene circuit for a few years now. She emerged at the young age of 16 with great hits such as "first love" and "automatic" two of my favourites. however, she tried to cross over to the english market a few years back with a duet with miss foxy brown on the track "blow my whistle" from the Rush Hour 2 soundtrack. and now... she's releasing a full length english album due out on Island records on october 5. Her two new singles off that cd are "easy breezy" and "devil on the inside". for those wondering how a little japanese girl can make it in the english pop market, well she's fluent in the english language growing up in new york and now attending Columbia university so she's not to be cast into the 'fob' category please. as a big fan of her first single "first love" even though i hardly understand the japanese lyrics... ... i'm not too impressed with her new english debut cd... bah.

on the topic of asians... sony's newest mark in propelling us to the top of having the nifftiest smallet nic nacks ever.

goddamn asians.

it's four-one-five: and yes now and then i reveal my true self. i do have the token asian reputation to live up to. gomen-ne.
